MOST IMPORTANT COMMANDS A DOG SHOULD KNOW

Most important commands a dog should know

I'm sure, just like me, you want nothing more than to make your dog as happy and healthy as possible. But will it not be possible if your dog is stubborn and disobedient? The answer is simple: train! Investing time and effort allows you to have a well-behaved companion who does what he's told. Here's how to train your dog.

Some of these methods might not be effective in every situation, but here I'm listing the best ones that have worked for my dogs and me.
1) Repetition is Key
Repetition is one of the most effective ways to train a dog. Don't be intimidated by this idea because all you need to do is repeat what you want your dog to do using a few different phrases. With this method, you'll find it much easier to teach your dog new commands than if you try doing it the opposite way: unhelpful giving orders.
Here are two examples of how you can use repetition.
•If you want your dog to come when called, repeat the command several times before calling him. It will allow your dog to associate the order with the sound of your voice. For example, "Come!" is a basic command and a good one to start with, but it's not very effective because it only requires you to shout it once and hope he'll obey afterward. So instead, try doing this: "Sit. Sit. Sit. Sit." and so on. You must repeat the command at least four times before calling your dog and vice versa. Remember that repetition is the number one tool needed in any training session to ensure you've trained your dog well enough to understand what you want from them.
•When your dog is pointing at something, you'll need to repeat that command repeatedly until your dog understands what he's doing. This technique will also work for other behaviors, such as sitting down, waiting, getting out of here, or coming on command until your dog understands what they mean.

2) You'll need to reinforce desirable behaviors constantly
It is another excellent way of training your dog, which is what it's all about. You'll need to repeat the desired behavior until your dog pays attention. It is a straightforward and effective method that you can use for pretty much any behavior you'd like to teach your dog, but use it with caution because over-reinforcing can also cause undesired behavior.
For instance, if you wish your dog to sit by your side all day long and never get up, you could try repeating the command "Sit" repeatedly until he understands what that means. Be sure to provide a treat or a toy when he does as you ask but be careful not to do it so many times that he'll take the command as a reason for him to always sit by your side and never get up.

3) Rewards, rewards, and more rewards
Rewards are one of the best ways of training any animal because dogs will seek to repeat any behavior associated with something good in the future. It is dangerous territory because if you overdo it, you'll create an undesired behavior. If your dog is opening doors and drawers on your doggo's own, you will have to either close them off or try using negative reinforcement until your dog understands that this behavior isn't correct.

If you need your dog to come to you when you call out for him, then you can use the "Come" command. This way, your dog will associate the power with something good, making him want to obey it. Make sure that you give your dog a treat as he comes to you or as soon as he's no longer resisting (we'll talk about this later).

If your dog doesn't come when called, try using a la raison d'etre. Please don't get scared off because it looks like a joke, but it also works for dogs. You could get a pen, put an invisible line on the floor, and call your dog over to it whenever it does something wrong.

With these three effective techniques, you'll be able to train your dog. Remember that the best way of doing it is by bringing a look at the training methods section below and using repetition for various commands - even if it's for a power you've already trained your dog on. Always remember that you need to reinforce positive behaviors; this is straightforward and effective. You also need to ensure you're not over-reinforcing any behavior because this will have an undesired effect and teach your dog inappropriate behaviors. Negative reinforcement can be beneficial in these cases, but do not overdo it.

You can teach them all this with dog training and also hire professional dog trainers.
Now you know how to train your Labrador to stay off the furniture and not pull. Now that you know how to get your dog to obey commands, what will you do with them? We’re sure they will show you some tricks, but they might also be very intelligent and clever.
